S7 Detailed System Configuration / Hardware info.

Argh* hits self over head, i always say it the wrong way round, yea, it is S-OFF, rather then isn't S-OFF.

The Qualcomm software is the stuff they likely would have put the firmware on with; it also does nice things like does diagnostics on the entire qualcomm chipset ;).
Should be good.

Ah bother, i'm thinking they have intentionally borked the DIAG with the build placed on, this is rather annoying; but cest la vie. (Either that or there is something else inhibiting all the tools from detecting a chipset they are known to work with <.< >.>)
I might start working on a recovery mod instead :p.
S-OFF == win :D

Here's some stuff from my S7V100R001C61B011 Singapore ROM S7-104 (USA Best Buy)

I am running my own built kernel though. Too lazy to check back... Not sure where I lost 200KB of RAM to...

Code:
cat /proc/mtd
dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 00500000 00020000 "boot"
mtd1: 0a000000 00020000 "system"
mtd2: 00500000 00020000 "recovery"
mtd3: 00060000 00020000 "splash"
mtd4: 00140000 00020000 "misc"
mtd5: 05ec0000 00020000 "cache"
mtd6: 0af00000 00020000 "userdata"
mtd7: 00500000 00020000 "logo"

and sdcards:
Code:
ls /dev/block/mmc*
/dev/block/mmcblk0
/dev/block/mmcblk0p1
/dev/block/mmcblk0p2
/dev/block/mmcblk1
/dev/block/mmcblk1p1

2 partitions on my external sd, mounted for blk0. Internal sd is blk1.

Heh; we could always use it and see if it works, meh might be a nice little bonus for not a lot of extra work.

Hey if everyone on this fourum chipped in we could buy bulk. How much can we get each unit down to? $50? ill buy six at that price. Community means many. Maybe someone would produce battery and case if we preorder en masse.?

Love this device. Great value.... Now. Lol... Thanks all who contributed to the information pool.

Bigger battery... Nice book style leather case would be fantastic.
