Turn Off 5G

Is it possible to turn off 5G on a TCL Tab Pro 5G tablet?

Android 11: Settings > Network and Internet > Mobile network > Preferred network type. Set to LTE.
Android 12: Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Preferred network type. Set to LTE.

I have Android 11. I went into Settings, Mobile Networks (no "Network and Internet") but it doesn't have "Preferred Network Type".

Then the manufacturer has modified Android to prevent you from changing that in settings. You may be able to change it in the dialer itself, using the code *#*#4636#*#*, tapping on "Phone Information" and selecting the preferred network type from there. There may also be an app in the Play Store that can allow you to change it if the phone dialer option doesn't work. Outside of that you may simply have to deal with having the 5G antennas always active.
