Will no load unless power cord plugged in

I have a Huawei 8inch-tft-touch-screen-800mhz-processor-4gb-arm-ddr2-512mb. Currently, it works fine when plugged into power. when I charge for hours, then unplug it and try to start it up, it turns on, starts loading, then fades to black after 10 seconds. Any ideas?

Did it just start doing this?
Are you using the factory supplied charger?

Yes I am using the factory supplied charger...it started doing this following a trip outside where it was lightly sprayed by a sprinkler.
