Wireless tether connection for Le Pan?

Hello everyone. Im new to the tablet world. Wife bought me a LePan for Christmas and of course i havent opened it yet. I was wondering if anyone has connected it to an android phone with wireless tether. Im currently using a rooted motorola Photon and its the only internet connection that i have. I use pdanet to connect my desktop to the phone and so was hoping that this tablet is capable of the same. Please help

I have connected with my Samsung Galaxy and it worked without any problems.
