wont stop freezing

I have an acer a500 iconia tab.... Had it for about 2 weeks and everything was fine, we took the kids on a big trip to dallas and took alot of pics and videos.. Everything is on the tab.. When I got home I tried to look at the pics and it just keeps freezing.. it will go to the main screen but when I go to an ap it freezes for about 2 min. and then says program not responding force stop.. When i force stop it goes back to the main screen and freezes.. I dont want to lose all the pics and videos.. What can I do?

Are the pics/videos on an SD card? If they are, pull it out and transfer the files to your PC. Then, format SD & do a factory data reset on the tablet. You've got corrupted files somewhere.

well now it wont do anything it just says android like it is loading.. I have turned it off then back on, I have also pressed the reset button but it wont do anything
