Hi guys, Just bought an advent vega but branded a viewsonic viewpad 10s... Just spent two days trying to get a male to male usb cable (GRRRR) only to find that my laptop recognises nothing at all... Its in debug mode because i wish to install the modaco custom rom.

It doesnt even make that little noise when you plug in or remove a usb

There is nothing under USB devices, nothing under Other Devices, nothing under connected hardware... nothing!! Ive downloaded USBdeview and that doesnt even show it!

Ive searched modaco forums also.

Any ideas??

Getting it to recognise is no problem in windows 7, installing the correct USB driver is however NOT working.
Vista 64bit is working, now i'm going to test XP-mode in win 7

make sure that:
- usb-usb cable
- set the DEBUG mode to ON in your tablet settings
- power off tablet
- CONNECT your power supply to the tablet
- Press and release in sequence the 2 buttons: back - power - power off - back off
