Hi all
The connection between the male terminal of any cable and the female receptacle is not continuous thus resulting in poor or no charge. I think the problem is with the receptacle in the tablet. Is it a DIY job to replace the receptacle? If not, I think I can skirt around the problem by using a wireless charging pad. Is this tablet able to make use of one and is there a preferred pad to use?

Unless the tablet was designed for wireless charging it won't be an option. That tech was designed for phones or a phone that has a removable back. Not sure about the port replacement. The trick may be actually finding one that was designed for your tablet.
