A tired old gir

I am a retired old git and have just bought a cheap 8" Android Tablet on Ebay from a UK supplier. I like the tablet so far and am surprised and pleased at the quality of it.
I am trying to learn about Android and its applications so I thought this forum might be a good place to start.

Thank you for all the help I feel will that you will give me, but I am approaching my dotage sp I need things spelled out as for an idiot, (well my friend said I was an idiot for buying the tablet)
