I had my tablet for a few months now and only use it on wifi, i didnt activate it. I have the verizon version. I don't want a contract to commit to. What are my options to activate this to 3G service?

you can do a month to month through verizon, so no contract but you get verizon service.

Like the previous post said, you can get Month to Month (M2M), but it's $20 a month for 1GB of data transfer. There are options for high data rate, but at a lot higher cost.

I got the Verizon Tab and did the mo-to-mo for $20 which required one month minimum. It actually cost almost $60 with activation fee and taxes. The 1GB of cellular service is way more than I use. Mostly I pick up a hot spot and use the wifi. Just a minor reminder though - if you discontinue it after the first required month and then want the service started again in a couple months, you have to pay an activation fee each time of $35. So, it's not worth stopping it unless you won't use cellular/3G for 2 months or more.
