All free, available in Market:
- BSPlayer lite
- MX Video Player
- MoboPlayer

If you don't have the Android Market installer, you may be able to download them from their official webpage or other sites like GetJar.com or FreewareLovers.com.

If they can't play it, then it's not a DivX/AVI file. Many files downloaded from the internet have an error in their file extension and some use exotic codecs that can be played only on a desktop computer with the correct plugin. If it's plain DivX then those players should be able to handle it.

I found RockPlayer Universal was the only player that could play the avi files from my cannon camera without problems. Others players would play the files but the color was just streaks across the picture.

The problem with AVI files is that there's no 'standard' encoding for them, an AVI file could be mjpeg, MPEG4, h.264 or a host of others.
