Best video player

I can't find a player that plays divx and avi files. Does anyone know of any good ones?

- MoboPlayer

If they can't play it, then it's not a DivX/AVI file. Many files downloaded from the internet have an error in their file extension and some use exotic codecs that can be played only on a desktop computer with the correct plugin. If it's plain DivX then those players should be able to handle it.

a true avi file can be handled by moboplayer. I just played Nightmare Before Christmas.avi on halloween night

I found RockPlayer Universal was the only player that could play the avi files from my cannon camera without problems. Others players would play the files but the color was just streaks across the picture.

The problem with AVI files is that there's no 'standard' encoding for them, an AVI file could be mjpeg, MPEG4, h.264 or a host of others.
