Cant unlock tablet

I have a new android tablet. It is fully powered and turns on. I cannot slide the unlock. I tried also with the stylus and just seems to be frozen. Does anyone have a solution to this?

What version of Android is it running? 2.2, 2.3, 3.0+? Pre-Honeycomb unlocks different than Honeycomb, so you need to tell us things like that.

This is not to be nasty or anything, but just saying 'I can't unlock it' won't help unless we know what you're trying to unlock.

having exactly the same problem. i just got a 5 in. t22 iweb mid tablet running 2.3 powers up to unlock screen but sliders don't function, menu button produces google header but no touch function works.spent all day yesterday emailing with supplier in china but no help.gadget worked for about 1/2 hour initially, seems to be a touch screen problem, any help would be appreciated.
