Case Keyboard

I have just bought a leather case for my tablet.

The case has a built in keyboard.

I plug the USB cable into my tablet and the keyboard doesn't work.

I am using Android 2.3.4.

Is there anything I have to do to make the KB work?

im guessing this is some generic keyboard case?

there are three options

1. is there a battery with the keyboard? maybe its not charged
2. the wire is broken
3. the keyboard is faulty
4. there is a reading problem with your tablet

Curiously, I left it to charge for several hours, and the keyboard started working.

I guess the KB has a battery.

OR, your tablet battery was too low to supply enough power to the KB via the USB.
