eBook screen NOT bright enough - please advise

My eBook screen is too dull even with my "settings" for screen brightness set to max.

How can I make my eBook screen bighter please?

I had this same problem. I went into settings, display, then brightness, and unchecked automatic brightness. This fixed eBook for me. Hope this helps.

Thank you - Yes i now see that when in ebook app i open a book then tap on a page and there is settings option to then deselect auto brightness. Thank you.
