F900 tablet music query

Hi, I have one of these tablets and because I'm not super knowledgeable about these things, can someone tell me how I can get music onto this thing. I have quite a lot of music on my laptop. Do I connect the tablet to this with a usb and drag and drop? Don't want to do anything to damage it as it's actually a present for our wee son for Christmas and want to get it set up for him before he gets it. Appreciate any help with this. It didn't come with any instructions to speak of some I've been winging it so far

I'm using Google play for my 7. There isn't enough storage built-in, so it's easier to store music online. You can use a flash drive or external drive. But to do that you will have to root the unit and get a drive mount application. Rooting voids warranty.
