I test drove a 101 today and I'm really impressed. I will be placing orders for at least 2 this week.

What are the "must do" upgrades and fixes that should be done right out of the box? What apps are the essentials? I will be using it for movies, web, music and games. There will also be some document editing, MS Word and Excel docs.

I have the 70 and its just the 101's littler brother.
    Its freaking amazing.

the best two tips I recommend is install the google apps market fix, and also install a more responsive home replacement, like ADW Launcher or LauncherPro.

They are kinda like your home screen. think of it as your desktop on a pc. The reason people chnage the standand install one is to improve responde time and performance.

They also allow for more customizations, like number of home screens, speed of "fling", icons on the desktop, what the icons look like, how app drawer behaves, etc....
