"Free on GetJar" Thread

Dunno who is behind GetJar.com, but it seems that they are getting a lot of momentum... Coby now includes GetJar as default in the new Telechips Cortex A8 based tablets (AppLibs gone soon?).

Anyway, Samurai II: Vengeance is free (usually $2.99). It's a stunning graphics game, if you don't mind some blood spills. It plays very well on MID1024.

I saw other games too, like Castle Warriors, GRave Defense HD and Droplets, all paid apks on Android Market.

PS: I am using a GT-P1000 fingerprint (Galaxy Tab 7") in my CFW, maybe some apps won't display to you so YMMV.

Yep getjar is great its where I got beautiful widgets, tapatalk, etc. I'm glad they are using getjar since it has actual official apps unlike appslib where there was a bunch of spam

It wasn't showing in the app at first but I did a search for it and it was there.

Still no joy, weird... I can see Convo, said to be a Tapatalk client. Is it the same?

I downloaded Tunein Pro, but it isn't the latest version, which has a sleek layout for tablets...

I wasn't logged in but I ran a search on tapatalk and it came right up for me lfom, does that mean the version isn't supported for the MID1024 that you have then?

I've just saw Guerrilla Bob free today. It's a nice 3rd person shooting that is not too violent.

Picsel Smart Office is available for free. It's a great program to view/edit common M$ Office files (doc, xls, ppt) and even pdf, one of the best I have used so far.

Question, I noticed that the Google app is on GetJar. Has anyone installed this on a Kyros tablet? I'm wondering if this is an easier way to get some of the Google apps like gmail and maps up and running.

Edit, I found this. Apparently at least some of them do work...

Figured out why I couldn't see Tapatalk: some apps are available only if the user is in the USA (GetJar detects your country using your IP)... =(

WiFi File Explorer is free on GetJar. It's a nice way to transfer files to/from tablet with no cable, simply using WiFi.
