I have just got a 7" MID tablet with 2.2 that is great for the money but I don't know how to copy files off a memory stick (U-disk) onto the sd card.
Using my computer I could copy the files onto the sd card but I want to take the tablet on holiday without the laptop so I will be trying to transfer picture files from a memory card onto the sd card using the tablet.
I have a file manager (Astro) but when I try to copy the file, it says it is doing it on the taskbar, but I cannot then paste it onto the sd card. If I try "move, it says that it is moving it but I don't know where it's going, if anywhere!
I'm new to all this so any solutions will need to be explained in an easy way!
Thanks.

I know, I must be missing something!
I have ASTRO and I try and cut and paste as I would do in IE but it doesn't seem to work.

Get FILE EXPERT file browser. Very simple to use.

Sent from my A500 using Android Tablet Forum

So your going from external SDCARD to the internal storage? (Internal SDCARD)

Normally you can copy and not move. Try Root Explorer to change the permissions of the directory you want to move something to to -w. This will make it writeable. Then you can move or copy the files.
