At first, it looked like Lenovo's first foray into the Android Tablet market for the United States had just begun. The Lenovo IdeaPad K1 has been showing up at a few retailer's sites, for $500 bucks, but was not yet available for any kind of purchase. Then, this morning, Amazon showed that they had the $500 dollar IdeaPad K1 available for pre-order. Strangely and inexplicably it promptly vanished a few hours later.

Is this some kind of odd marketing teaser ploy, or simply organizational errors? Unfortunately, it is likely the later, rather than the former. Regardless, there is something coming from them eventually, so we will keep an eye out for you. ;)

I was at Office Depot today and they had a shelf tag for the Lenova IdeaPad 32meg for $499.
