new disgo 6000 will not switch on..

Hello,

I have just received my Disgo 6000, with 2.2 pre installed android. According to my friend who owns one I am starting it the right way, but I can not seem to get it working. It was in the charger all day. And I tried just about every button on the device now, for short and longer periods. Anybody has any suggestions?
