I just purchased this product and so far I like most of it. What I don't like is not being able to get the Android Market. Is there anyone who has figured out how to do this on the 9"? I've seen some work arounds for the 7", but I can't seem to find anyone who knows about the 9". Thanks for yall's help in advance.

Through Amazon.com you can also download a whole bunch of free and $$ apps FYI for the Pandigital 9" eReader

Since the 9" tablet is still around and some of us still use it with the stock OS,

thought I'd list some of the apps I have loaded on mine. ( had it for over a year now )

For a web browser, I use Maxthon. Fastest one so far on this device, hands down.

Next, get Juicedefender. Run it in the advanced setting, and choose "Tablet".

Since the 9" uses 2.0, it really helps to increase battery life. You can set it so Pandora and other apps are not affected.

A version of youtube that does work on this device can be found at Mediafire:

YouTube-v13.apk

( not great, but hey it does work! )

Rest of the list of apps:

Adobe Reader
Amazon Kindle reader
Amblin Book Player ( for audio books )
Amazon MP3 Player ( with that 'cloud' thing )
Amazon App Store
SlideMe
BI Notes
Documents to Go ( Pro )
DropBox
Folder Organizer
Go Launch
Hubble Space Telescope ( for backgrounds )
Pocket Informant
Overdrive Media
Pandora
Quick Settings
Wifi Analyzer
ListMaster
Youtube
Maxthon Mobile browser
Juice Defender
Juice Plotter

All were downloaded from either Amazon App store, SlideMe or Freewarelovers.com/android

Anyway, these work just fine on this device.

I'm too old to learn how to do a hardware mod; I'd just mess it up and have a brick.

Hope this helps those who got one of these for Xmas...enjoy.
