Good question. I don't really know that much about coding but from what I've gathered, open-sourcing a device's specific firmware allows independant developers to more easily create ROMs that are more tailored to a device.Hi,
I'm wondering what they exactly have to release publicly.
The kernel sources published by Telechip (https://www.telechips.com/technical_support/kor/opensource/opensource_list.asp#none) support tcc880x chipset used in generation2 tablet. Do they have to release something else ?
