I've been testing several video players with my SYNET7LP and I think I finally found the best one.

MOBOPlayer

I have had some problems getting some video files to play correctly, usually the high end MKV files and the like. After opening MoboPlayer, it recommended I download a codec pack for the player based on my chipset.

*Poof* Issues are gone for the most part. I got a couple skips while playing but it recovered, and I think it was due to network traffic. I'm downloading the MKV files to the SD now and will test on local playback.

I just download videos or rip my DVD's with PocketDVD to AVI files and put them on my card. The files are big, but I use the largest format and they are on my video server for the house and anyone on my network can watch what ever movie they want on any TV, laptop, phone or tablet....

Nods. I use an NFS server on the media server, and then I use MountNFS to map it to a sub-directory of the SD Card. This way I can access the entire server.
