question about andriod tablet

I have a nexus 10 tablet and I wanted to know is there anyway to change the settings so I only have one desktop instead of five that is standard.thank you for any imput

Without installing a custom ROM you're going to be stuck with 5.

While the stock launcher is hard-coded to present five screens, if the OP installs a custom launcher such as Go Launcher EX from the Play Store, it's possible for him to get the one screen he wants.

I have Apex Launcher and it is pretty nice. You can have from 1 to 9 home screens, and a lot of other customizations.
