Ainol Novo7 Mars Firmware ?

Hi, any news on the new (or custom rom) english firmware for Ainol Novo7 Mars (16gb) ?

There were some posts made earlier that the Mars__Freiyu_mod_0526 update may freeze your tab ?

I want to fix the issues with touch-screen & wi-fi connection.

I did the 526 firmware and have some issues. The wifi is still horrible and it does freeze every once in a while. But it works most of the time. I wouldnt bother with it yet. I also installed a file from the tornados feyu mod and my tablet shows as a samsung galaxy s2 in google play now.

I did installed the Friyu 526 update and it caused touchscreen issues. I could not test anymore because touch screen was really less responsive. The reason, I want upgrade is because of netflix. netflix buffers a lot with mars original software.

So I hope that they will release the official firmware update soon

I noticed that if you enable vibration on Novo Mars the touchscreen is working a lot better.....

-> settings -> sound -> systems -> vibrate on touch

I also installed Advanced Wifi Lock

There is also a "proversion" for a few dollars available (has more features)

This seems to help with the wifi issues with Mars (connection problems / timeout problem)

... and I think there are many similar "wifi locks" available on the Market.

Only problem is that if you enable the "wifi lock" the battery rans out a quite fast

Hope this helps some other Mars users too (before we will get an updated firmware)
