Can't download anything from the market?

I get the "Purchase cancelled. Please open My Apps to establish a connection with the Android Apps server" error.

I cleared the market cache and rebooted and still no go.

I am able to download and install apps from amazon, but not android market.

Any one got a fix for this?

Install Google apps or root it and install cm7 and Google apps. I did the later on my viewsonic gtab and not looking back.
