Downloading Apps on Polaroid PMID705

I have a Polaroid PMID705. I cannot download anything- for example, I'm trying to download Netflix from Amazon Appstore and I get this message: "there is insufficient space on your SD card to download Netflix. Please free some space and download again.". The problem is that I have done a factory reset and there isn't anything on the SD card, other than what came with it. Also, I have a 16 GB external micro SD card that is empty. Does anyone have any advice to what I should do? This tablet is pretty useless if I can't put any apps on it.

have you tried d/ling anything else besides netflix?.... any games or anything?

I use DroidExplorer to load apps on mine works great try it out
