I bought an android tablet in august from a reputable american company, the tablet was then supplied by a third party. I took it out the box and charged it with the intention of puting it away for christmas. I opened it again the other day just to give it a boost before wrapping, it started doing updates which i allowed even though it seemed to take for ever. After rebooting i found that most of the folders had dissappeared from the internal memory card, i could not download, i could not copy/paste etc. I contacted the company to ask about the possibility of getting the firmware to try and recover the tablet, the seller pont blankly refused and would not give me the manufacturers contact details to sk them. Is there anything i can do, the tablet is:

Assuming these were firmware updates, did you do a hard reset after the updates were finished?
