Being new to all this, how long do you think it will take before we see a) new shanzai tablets being relesased that are stable running 2.3 and/or b) a firmware upgrade for current tablets to bring them up to 2.3.

a) Half a year or so
b) likely never for most of them. They will have new revisions and alternate batches that replace them by then.
