I'd welcome suggestions for downloading a free (or iinexpensive) app especially suited for taking pictures of 8.5 x 11 inch pages of typed text using the rear-facing camera on the Hannspree 13.3 inch tablet. Thanks. ...wdc

I'd also welcome any ideas for "building" a "stand" for the tablet so that I can take photos without actually holding the tablet in my hands. ...wdc

The quality of photos that you're looking for depend on the physical camera itself and not on the app. You should be able to get the same results with the stock app as with any that you'll download.
As for a stand, you can use any kind of support that will not obstruct the lens.
Amazon has a light box, for smart phones, that could possibly be used.

What ever you use, you'll need to make sure you have good lighting. (The Stand Scan has a built in light.)

WDC,

You can try the KODAK Pic Flick HD available on Google Play store, developed by Eastman Kodak Company. I can't post the link here as I am just new and don't this be flagged as SPAM. But you know it, just find the app in playstore.
