help with the camera

how can I use my camera on my trio sleath pro. I can only take picture of my self, why can't I see on the screen what i am wanting to capture.

probably like my Digix 10" only has a front camera.

With a front camera, does that mean you can't view what you want to capture on the screen, its just guess it ok what you are pointing at?
