how do i apply the update 1170 ?

i just bought this flytouch2 and there is an update available it says v1170, then it asks to update and i say yes to reboot, then it says i should connect power supply and i did so. then it reboots but it freezes on the first screen with blue letters, did i do anything wrong ?
what is this update for ? must i get this update on a USB stick or memory card to get it to work ? but how ?
i also speak german.
