Installing ADB with windows vista home premium

All the info i've been reading on rooting people have been talking about using windows 7 x64. I'm running windows vista home premium 32 bit. Will this make a difference when I try to start installing the adb? Sorry for being such a noob and so many questions. Just kinda need a easy to follow walkthrough. Thanks

I tested it briefly on a netbook pc running Windows 7 starter edition which is 32 bit. The same procedure should work using the pdanet drivers.
