Internet problem. Need help

I have great internet signal at home, school, and even at friend's house but it takes FOREVER to connect or it will mostly not connect. What is the problem and how should i fix it?

Hi Cobrinha990, what Android tablet are you using? This isn't exactly a fix, but just out of curiosity perhaps install the Speedtest.net mobile Android app and see what kind of signal it says you're getting.

Mine connected once, sees the wireless, but jams on obtaining IP Address
Refuses to connect via hard wired ethernet - and I know this is OK - as I have an identical device which works fine.
Did you get a solution ?

I just purchased a Toshiba AT100 Tab, and it shows me hooked up to wifi, but I am not able to go onto the internet or check mail. Can't even update the device. It shows me as connected but nothing? What to do?
