Is this group international? I would like to read up on British requirements for Market and other vendors. I want to give my Coby to daughter in England but need to know what is available and how Market in Britain would see the Coby. US Android Market tells me it's a TMobile device. If I can find the differences between both Markets, I can tell her how to download and get help for the 7024. For instance - I have some astronomy apps that I can change coordinates for manually so country shouldn't matter, but weather apps might be totally different. I would assume that Flash, Gmail and Youtube and Ereaders would work anywhere. Can some one help or find a forum that can? Thanks

We have many members here from the UK. Hopefully, they'll reply here and discuss your concerns with you.

As far as weather is concerned, I had oan App installed (can't remember which one) but all I had to do was input the Town name and country and it showed the weather and forecasts for that location. I'd say download a weather App of your choice and see if it will accept the Town in England that you want the forecast for, if it works leave it on the Coby, if not uninstall it and try another.

I understand how to get apps. My main problem is - I tweaked the Coby to get market here in the US. US Market insists the Coby is a TMobile device and tells me that quite few apps are not available or won't work.(Some do). I'm not sure which network daughter is on, but she can use my unlocked TMO phones. I think she might have a Market account.

Since the US Android market has decided that the wifi only Coby is a TMobile device, will the same happen in the European Android market?

Will the Market app just switch when she takes the tablet back? Or will I need to find the instructions for her to tweak again? I know some apps are not available by country. I ran into this with Nokia. She is semi computer literate and having to explain not in person can be confusing.
