Issues with Coby 7015A

I know this is old technology but it still works and I'm trying to update it and give it to my grand daughter.

I want to be able to download and read e books from Kindle and Nook.

I have spent the past 4 hours going to dead end links, tips that dont work and trying to root the Coby so that I might be able to make it work.

One link that I was directed to was ATZ. That site is a nightmare, hard to navigate, get info, even after you register you are still not granted access. He (Tipster) claims that he has a way to easily root your Coby via his bulldog whatever, it only cost you $10.50, but you still dont know how it is done and if you would even want to try it. He dosent state how its done, is it a hardware modification or software rom burn, who knows

I was then directed to Amazon for a Kindle reader application for Android. Well after trying to download the app, I could not, and then found out it was for phones (I read one guy's post saying that it worked great for his 7015A). That was a hour wasted.

All I want to do I make this Coby 7015A read books from other sources.

Am I over looking something that should not this hard to do

Anyone have any ideas

These old tablets can be rooted via a program called super one click. [APP]SuperOneClick v2.3.3 - Motorola Exploit Added! - xda-developers Tipstir doesn't tell how root works cause he doesn't know, he takes work from other devs, then sells our work to newbies.

I found this Youtube video that goes over the rooting of a 7015A.

Seems pretty simple to do.

Is this what I want to do to get a Kindle or Nook reader to work?
