Kyros Mid 8120 factory reset

I purchased a Mid 8120 for my son for Christmas. He put a password on it and forgot it. I have read the post on how to factory reset the Mid 7015, but I am unable to get to the recovery screen. I believe this is do to the back button not actually being a button. Any additional direction in factory resetting this particular tablet would be greatly appreciated.

if it is rooted, and you have adb setup


adb shell reboot recovery

This hasn't worked for me. I have a similar problem, but the ADB won't work cuz the PC doesn't recognize the tablet.
