Hi folks,

Since this week, i am the proud owner of an Haipad mid701. My best friend has the same device and helped me flash to the newest rom release from Haipad.
My wife is not that happy at this time, because all my free-time goes to my new gadget...;)

My Haipad is running verry good on the 0918PM15.rar romfiles posted on the Haipad site.
My market runs good and youtube-videos in HD keeps me busy for ages, hahahaha :D

My name is Tom and i live in The Netherlands in a city below sea-level called Almere.
I am 35 years old and work as an ICT-specialist in the dutch airforce.
I'm interested in new stuff such as this gadget i finally own myself.

At first i've read a lot of stuff on this forum and it was really helpfull to me and my best friend. So a big thanks for this expieriance.

Greeting from a rainy Holland

Hello flyingtom. Welcome aboard. Great to know to have a new member to help us to explore together on this unit.

You said you have flashed you device to the latest rom #918. How was the battery drain?

I am using the later rom #370. Originally it came with #333.

Hope you can share if you see any issues you have.

Cheers!

@ Freeder,

i, diddn't have the time to clock my battery-drain, but to me it appears to be good. Playing on it the whole evening witout recharging +/- 4 hours with wifi set ON.
The touchscreen is even more responsive than with the #370 rom installed.
Battery drain should also get better when you charge fully and discharge completely for 3/4 times in a row.

Grtzzz
Tom

I am counting on that the battery does not drain too fast. Cause there is quite a few reports that electric juice been drain out too fast. On my device, it can last 5 to 5 1/2 hour on wifi. So its quite a good mileage. I will perhaps try to give it a go. :)

The fine thing is, u can try the new rom and when you are not satisfied, you load the old rom instead! Good luck...
