Nabi and SD Card

My daughter has a Nabi (the Nick version) I put in a 8GB sd card but it will not read it. How can I fix this?
 
Hi Christina, welcome to the forum. Nice of you to become a member of Android Tablets. Are you sure you pushed the SD card in far enough?
