Need assistance buying Tablet this week

Hi Everyone,

I am getting ready to purchase a tablet and have a question. If a tablet description does not say Wifi in the description of the tablet does that mean that you can not get onto the internet? I have a wireless router at home will this allow me to get onto the net? Why do some tablets list Wifi and others do not? If it states that the tablet is Wifi supported what does that mean? Can someone get back to me asap? Thank you.

Hi Missy, I'm moving your thread to the Android Tablet Q&A where others will see it and have a chance to comment. AFAIK, other than some e-readers like the Kindle, the tablets we're familiar with support WiFi and your wireless router should connect to them. If there are any exceptions, hopefully someone in the Q&A section will point them out. Good luck!

Yes, WiFi is just a shorthand way of saying wireless connection.
