New User - WIFI Error

Hi I'm new to Android and jsut recevied a new Tablet running 2.2 but can not turn on WIFI, just get WIFI error. Can anyone help. Cheers

Having the same problem here. Android starts but can't get a network connection.

Do the routers cover the bands the tablets have? Check the specs on them and compare it to the tablets. Also check security compatibility.
