Nexus 7 calling/texting?

Is there an app that will allow calling and texting from the Nexus? Is there a way w/o rooting to use the tablet in landscape mode?

Hello hardworker and welcome. Yes you can use apps to call and text from the Nexus 7. The most common way to do this is with Google Voice and Groove IP. Here is a good link with info by probbiethe1 http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...44526-add-phone-capabilities-your-tablet.html.

u can use viber@tango@gtalk for call(VOIP)..u can use whatsapp for messaging..but the configuration for viber@tango@whatsapp will be a little tricky..u need to have ur other android phone with a simcard which never been registered with those software..
