I've just gotten my Sony tablet but I'm not crazy about the included browser. I've downloaded the Opera browser but I find that when in a situation where I have to type something, after I have finished and I minimize the keyboard the bottom half of the screen stays black. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? And have you found a way to deal with the issue?

Im not excited with the browser that comes with android however I haven't use opera but what I do use is Dolphin browser and works pretty well for me, maybe you can try this browser while you try to contact Opera's developer for a fix. Most likely you will fall in love with Dolphin !
