Recently, china market is full of quad core tablet news, the Allwinner A13, the Rockchip RK3188, and most of the brand tablet factories, like Onda, Ployer, ICOO, Cube, Ramos all released their new information on quad core tablets.

But from the information we get, the Allwinner A31 will be the first one to release to market, Allwinner total release 10000pcs A31 chip, most of the chip has been ordered by ICOO and Onda. And the rest will be shared by different small factories. For Rockchip RK3188, the chip will release to market on 20th Jan. So the sample device which launch with RK3188 have to be seen in market in the end of Jan.
So ICOO and Onda will be the first two factories which real release A31 chip tablet.

And ICOO will focus on the 10.1 inch tablet, Onda will focus on 9.7 inch and 8 inch ones. It seems those factories have all agreement to share market.

We have run a Antutu Test, score is about 12000, and we also do a screen test for this 10 inch IPS screen, it has good view angel.
Here is some details about the test.
Antutu benchmark result

System info

system%20info%E5%89%AF%E6%9C%AC.jpg

As you can see from the System Info that this tablet equipped with a quad core CPU, as it is a engineering prototype, the CPU frequency is locked to 1008.0MHz and the model is still its engneering code name sun6i. Fortunately, the Antutu recognizes its GPU is PowerVR SGX544MP. This is a powerful GPU that uses in Apple's A6X processor and TI's OMAP4470 processor. So it has the same graphics performance as iPad 4.

NenaMark 2 test result

From the result we can see that the GPU performance beyond most well-known devices. And it's definitely better than Mali-400MP4 that uses in Samsung's quad core tablets.

Can you ask the factory why the CPU isn't running at full speed.

It seems as if the Allwinner is locked to 1ghz when it should be able to do 1.2ghz.

Thanks

For the stability concern, the frequency was locked to 1GHz, but some users had crack it and overclock the GPU to maximum 1.5GHz.
