Hi,

I recently bought an unspecified Android tablet from NZ ebay (trademe) and although it was supposed to come with Skype, it appears to not have it installed. It's not on the app market and when I go to skype.com it asks for a phone number or sends me to the 'download skype for linux' page.

What am I doing wrong and how can I get skype on my MID?

Charlie

I am having the same issues. Have you had a response from anyone?

Log in to the android market again. That should fix it. If that doesn't work, reset the tablet.

I've seen a lot about Skype for tablets (which I have got). It doesn't work (when you launch it momentarily shows the splash screen, and then dies). I contacted Skye support and they were quite clear that they have no software available which would allow Skype to access their system using a domestic wi-fi router. May happen but not specific about when.
