Trying to connection to wi-fi

I being work on a tablet (this is my first one) and I am having problems connecting to the wi-fi. I have followed the how to set the wi-fi by the booklet and it scan for it, but finds nothing. I trying to turning the box off for 10 seconds and try to connect then but nothing too. I even to off the rest of the connection such as a laptop and printer, but even there nothing. That didn't work and also decide to check online for help.

Can anyone help me. It is a boss 2802 tablet running on android 2.2.

See if your 3g settings (if 3g facility is available) is Off. Probs occur if both 3G & Wi-Fi are enabled simultaneously.
