Update Google Play On Premio Tablet

I have 4 brand new premio tablets. I had to update YouTube now I must update Google Play services but it's not installing. Not compatible. Was adviced to flash the tablets with different firmware. I'm a car programmer so I can write and format and do ecu reading and flashing. Can someone pls assist me

The error you are seeing may simply be Play Store related. In some cases the device is too old to run the current version of Google Play Services. However, based on the specifications that I believe describe your tablet, you should not be having an upgrade issue due to age. In any event, for your purposes the following version of the APK should work for you: Google Play services 20.1.04 (000300-288960190) (000300) APK Download by Google LLC - APKMirror

Download this using the tablet's copy of Chrome, then you should get a prompt to keep the file. You can then use a file manager app from the Play Store if one isn't preinstalled to install the APK, located in the device's downloads folder.

As to the alternatives if this doesn't work, there are none that I am aware of. Root I don't believe was ever achieved and a custom recovery - needed to install a custom ROM - isn't available. All due to lack of popularity.
