Can You get Microsoft Word on the Toshiba Thrive 3.1? If not what is closest app I can get for it ?

There are several alternatives that allow you to work with Word Docs.
Here are some:

• QuickOffice - good app, includes Word, Excel, PPT and Adobe clients
• Docs2Go - the free version lets you read, the paid lets you edit
• PolarisOffice - ok, works fast
• GoogleDocs - I love the g-docs interoperability, but be careful you accidentally reformat all your docs
