Easy Root Solution For MID 7024

Are you connected to wifi?

Python needs to download some files from the internet when you click install.

Sorry, forgot to mention that.

Thanks for confirming it works on the 1024.

Works great and fast. Now i have autokiller, titanium backup, quickboot root explorer and others working great.

Pecked out from my rooted Kyros MID1024

Did anyone else get a superuser update? One just Popped up on my kyros.

Not surprised, the version I included wasn't the latest.

I'll include the latest su and Superuser in the next version.

Hello, i just bought a slightly used mid7024, and wanted to root it, i tryed several versions of superoneclick, but they freezed halfway.
Then i found out about this app and tryed it, however, wen i run it i get the message : ERROR! failed to write one or more files.
Anyone got a solution?

/Narw

When exactly do you get the error? If your tablet is already running Android 2.3 then probably it's a custom firmware and it's already rooted.

The error occures almost as soon as i start the app, i can barely see some code lines flash by before it happends.im alreddy running 2.3, but since thats what it says on the box i do not think its rooted.ive also tryed several apps that claims they dont have root acces. Superuser is also missing.

Are you sure it's a 7024? AFAIK all 7024 come with Android 2.2, not 2.3. This rooting method won't work on models other than 7024/8024/1024.

i do indeed have 2.3 on my device, but i were wrong about the model, the back of the tablet says MID7024, but the box says MID7024-4G.
The info i can find about rooting the 4G points to z4root, so thats what il try.
Thanks for your time!

Uppdate: when i checked "about device" it said MID7025, wich acctually did get shipped with 2.3.,.. mystery solved! now to find a rooting method...

uppdate 2: Gingerbreak worked.
