my computer doesnt recognise ive attatched arnova tablet via usb

i confess im not very good with computers but normally i plug in the usb and the computer automatically recognises it. My daughter had an arnova 8b g3 tablet for birthday and i wanted to put some music and photos on it for her but i cant seem to get my computer to realise i have connected the usb(although it will charge) im running windows 7 ultimate. is this not enough?

Does your computer acknowledge that the tablet is plugged in at all?.

There are a few things you could try but there may also ultimately be some satisfactory work-arounds. You could install WiFi File Transfer from the Google Store and use your Windows Explorer to transfer files.

You could also get a free 2GB DropBox account and put the photos into DropBox on the PC. They will be available on your tablet and can me copied or moved there.
