Another user on these forums asked Haipad and the official word from them is that the M701 and M701-R (I assume that means both the 2GB and 4GB models) have no support for any GPS modules because they lack "relevant drivers and mapping software." Despite the fact there are GPS options in the Settings and the CPU is supposed to support built-in GPS they didn't put a GPS Radio Module in these tablets, so they didn't include the drivers or software that ties it into mapping/navigation apps.
